This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application My Personal Pocket Library (the “App”), developed by Inovesapp, handles information.
1. General Principle
The App does not require an account, membership, or login. All information you enter into the App is stored only on your own device. As the developer, we do not have access to this information. It is not sent to any server, sold, or shared with third parties.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
When using the App, you may enter the following information. This information is stored only in the local database on your device:
Book information (title, author, publisher, ISBN, publication year, page count, and similar fields)
Cover photos you take or select for your books
Notes, ratings, reading statuses, and categories you add to books
Names, optional contact information, and dates you enter for books you lend to other people
App settings such as language and theme
If you add another person's name or contact information to a lending record, you are entering that information solely for your own personal tracking. This information also remains on your device and is not transmitted from it.
3. Use of the Internet Connection
The App connects to the internet only for the following two purposes:
ISBN lookup: When you enter an ISBN number or scan a barcode, the book information is first searched in the local catalog on your device. If the information cannot be found, or if a cover image is needed, only the ISBN number is sent to Google Books and Open Library services. No information that identifies you is sent in these requests. These services may see your IP address as part of a standard internet connection and are subject to their own privacy policies.
Cover image download: A cover image that is found is downloaded to your device and stored locally.
The App does not display advertisements and does not contain analytics or usage-tracking tools. It does not collect location information.
4. Permissions
Camera: Used only to scan ISBN barcodes and take photos of book covers. Photos taken with the camera remain on your device.
Photos / Gallery: Used only to select a photo that you want to use as a book cover. The App does not access other photos in your gallery.
Files: Excel import and export operations are performed only when you initiate them, and only on the file you select. You decide where to send or save an exported file.
You can disable these permissions at any time through your device settings. If you do so, the related features will not work, but the rest of the App will remain available.
5. Deletion of Your Data
Since all your data is stored on your device, you have control over it. You can delete books, notes, and lending records individually from within the App.
When you uninstall the App from your device, all data stored by the App is permanently deleted. Since the App does not maintain cloud backups, we recommend exporting your data to Excel and creating your own backup before changing devices.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not specifically directed at children, but it may be used by people of any age. Since the App does not collect personal information from users, it does not collect information belonging to children.
7. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the functionality of the App changes. The current version of the policy will always be published within the App and on this page. The update date is indicated at the beginning of the policy.
